  • 1831 में नए लंदन ब्रिज को यातायात के लिए खोल दिया गया।
  • 1883 में ग्रेट ब्रिटेन में अंतर्देशीय डाक सेवा शुरू की गयी।
  • 1920 में महात्मा गांधी ने असहयोग आंदोलन की शुरुआत की।
  • 1953 में क्यूबा के पूर्व राष्ट्रपति फिदेल कास्त्रो को गिरफतार किया गया।
  • 1957 में नेशनल बुक ट्रस्ट की स्थापना हुई।
  • 1960 में पाकिस्तान की राजधानी कराची से बदलकर इस्लामाबाद कर दिया गया।
  • 1999 में बंगाली तथा अंग्रेजी लेखक निरद। सी।  चौधरी का ब्रिटेन में निधन हो गया।
