- 1573 में आज ही के दिन अकबर ने अहमदाबाद के पास निर्णायक जंग जीती और गुजरात पर कब्जा कर लिया।
- 1775 में आज ही के दिन पहले अमेरिकी युद्ध पोत हाना का जनरल जॉर्ज वाशिंगटन ने जलावतरण किया।
- 1666 में आज ही के दिन लंदन में भीषण आग की शुरुआत हुई और पांच दिन में पूरा शहर तबाह हो गया।
- 1945 में आज ही के दिन करोड़ों को मौत के घाट उतारने वाली द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध आज ही के दिन ख़त्म हुई थी।
