- 1661 में आज ही के दिन यूरोप में पहला बैंक नोट स्वीडश बैंक स्टॉकहोम्स बैंको ने जारी किया था।
- 1909 में आजादी की लड़ाई लड़ने वाली अरुणा आसफ अली का जन्म हुआ था।
- 1935 में ओकलाहोम सिटी में पहला पार्किंग मीटर इंस्टॉल किया गया था।
- 1993 में आज ही के दिन ब्रिटेन की खुफिया सेवा, एमआई5 के किसी सदस्य ने फोटो खिंचवा कर पहली बार औपचारिक रूप से जनता के सामने अपनी पहचान खोली थी।
- 1968 में भारतीय हॉकी कप्तान धनराज पिल्लै का जन्म हुआ था।
- 1969 चंद्रमा पर सबसे पहले उतरने वाला अन्तरिक्ष यान अपोलो-11 था जिसे केप केनेडी से छोड़ा गया था।
- 2013 स्कूल में खाना खाने से देश में 27 बच्चें की मौत हो गई थी।
