- 1689 में फ्रांस ने इंग्लैंड पर आक्रमण की घोषणा की।
- 1813 में कलकत्ता (अब कोलकाता ) में पहली नौका दौड़ का आयोजन हुआ।
- 1814 में नियाग्रा फॉल्स के युद्ध में अमेरिका ने ब्रिटेन को हरा दिया।

- 2007 में भारत की प्रथम महिला राष्ट्रपति के रूप में प्रतिभा पाटिल ने शपथ लिया।
