  • 1826 में लिथुआनिया में हिंसा में कई यहूदी मरे।
  • 1844 में भारत के प्रमुख शिक्षाविद् गुरुदास बनर्जी का जन्म हुआ था।
  • 1945 में ब्रिटेन के प्रधानमंत्री पद से विंस्टन चर्चिल ने इस्तीफा दिया।
  • 1956 में मिस्र ने स्वेज नहर पर कब्ज़ा किया। 
  • 1965 में मालदीव स्वतंत्र हुआ। इस पर ब्रिटेन का कब्जा था।
  • 1974 में फ्रांस ने मुरूओरा द्वीप में परमाणु परीक्षण किया
  • 2008 में गुजरात के अहमदाबाद शहर में 21 धमाके हुए। इस हादसे में 56 लोग मारे गए और 200 से ज्यादा जख्मी हुए।
