  • 1794 में आज ही के दिन फ्रांस में मैक्सीमिलियन रोबेस्पियर और उसके साथियों को मृत्युदंड दिए जाने के बाद भय और आतंक का काल समाप्त हुआ। उसके अवधि में में 1 लाख 20 हज़ार लोग बिना मुकदमा चलाए मार दिए गए।
  • 1821 में आज ही के दिन स्पेन से पेरु को स्वतंत्रता मिली और आज के दिन को इस देश का राष्ट्रीय दिवस घोषित किया गया। यह देश दक्षिणी अमरीका के उत्तर पश्चिम में स्थित है और एक्वेडोर कोलम्बिया, चिली, ब्राज़ील और बोलीविया इसके पड़ोसी देश हैं।
